I came home one day, the whole family was in a flat, they were looking at a  tin can. They were all sad and surprised. “I asked what was going on? They said, “Come, you would understand it.”

A doctor relative from Istanbul had sent us 5 kg of tin can as a gift. There were little black things in it, but no one could make sense of it, but they didn’t hesitate to comment. (they commented that what was in the tin box was sheep manure .. so I checked and confirmed them.. it was sheep manure.. They thought it was an insult. They were trying to understand why our relative insulted us.

in order to  fully understand the event,  I took the sheep manures in this tin can to a doctor I know at the hospital. as soon as the doctor checked it.

he said that “They seemed very good,”, then he brought couple of them in his mouth and he chewed. When I saw the doctor doing this, I felt nauseous and vomited.

When I witnessed the doctor brought a few more to his mouth and chewed, I said, “Doctor, for God’s sake, tell me first, then would do what you were doing

From my look, he realized that I was getting it wrong. let me make a deal with you, Idris, Let me buy you two tins of halvah in exchange for these tin olives. That’s our deal..he said that The ones in this tin can were olives and the most delicious kind, the curly kind.

I was very happy when I heard that the things sent to me as a gift were olives.
